Relax & Unwind
When told we need to relax and Unwind its not always that simple. However looking after ourselves is so important. The biggest mistake we make is looking after others to a point that we neglect ourselves completely and before we know it , its too late and we have a cold or breakdown . Now i am no expert but I have been practicing in meditation and wellness for a few years now and so I feel I would like to share tips and tricks I have found useful. Hopefully you can benifit from these too.
1. Light a candle
Lighting a candle creates a relaxing atmosphere. Find a space that's clear of clutter , maybe whilst in the bath . Light a candle and let the scent flow through the room. I find just watching the flickering of flame can give a relaxing feel . Our candles have scents added for meditation and calm aromatherapy. They may not smell like your usual flower or perfume scent but the benefits are for a relaxing and calm mind.

fresh air & exercise
Fresh air and exercise is a must for a healthy mind . When I say exercise I don't mean hit the gym. Go for a 5 min stroll on your lunch break. My best fresh air time is by water . I love water the ripples on the water are just so calm and relaxing . You don't have to go off to the beach either. Find a local pond or lake and just look at the water. You will be surprised the calming affects it has . Sometime we don't realise how much we spend indoors . Maybe you work from home or have young children . You think you have been out as you jumped in car to shops or to visit family but think ... have I realy been outside today.

take a bath
Not to get clean....
Do you jump in the shower because you have too. When did you last have a bath? Run a bath for relaxation not to get clean . Set half hour one evening or morning, run a a nice warm bath . Add our salts as they are packed with natural ingredients for mind calming. The ingredients work with scent and absorption into the skin. Light a candle and jump in and relax .. You could pop on some music ( maybe not heavy metal ) and just relax and switch off . Even if someone is shouting mum from the otherside of the door or the dog is Barking you should still find some calm.

Meditation
This may sound silly but have you actually tried meditation? Give it a go trust me.
There is no right or wrong to meditation in my mind. For me , I sit in my garden or in a quite place. I cross my legs and relax my arms on my knees . Eyes closed and concentrate on my breathing . I make sure my shoulders are not going up and down but my stomach in and out this way gives my lungs full capacity . If I find my thoughts drifting eg planning what's for dinner I go back to the breathing . Just trying to clear my mind for 5 minutes. Why? It's not really an answer but it just makes you feel good . 5. play your favouritE song
According to Google Research has shown that blood flows more easily when music is played. It can also reduce heart rate, lower blood pressure, decrease cortisol (stress hormone) levels and increase serotonin and endorphin levels in the blood. It elevates mood. Music can boost the brain's production of the hormone dopamine. So pop on your favourite tunes , and sing out loud whilst throwing in a few moves and release that tension.
